마가린처럼 부드럽게 녹아들어 너를 사로잡겠다는 귀여운 고백이 담겨있는 곡으로 2021년 05월 21일 발매되어 엄청난 인기를 끌었으며 2020년 8월 21일 발매와 동시에 전 세계를 강타한 디지털 싱글 'Dynamite'에 이은 방탄소년단의 두 번째 영어 곡이다. Butter는 중독성 강한 댄스 팝 장르로 도입부부터 귀를 사로잡는 베이스 라인과 청량한 신스(Synth) 사운드가 특징이다.
